Year 6 Residential Trip - The Isle of Wight

Year 6 have spent the last 4 days on their residential trip to PGL on the Isle of Wight. The children have been excited all year and I'm sure they'd all say it did not disappoint! The journey started with whole coach singalong to music from The Greatest Showman - I think the coach driver was very impressed! As soon as we got to PGL, the real fun began! The children spent the weekend pushing their limits on activities like the giant swing, rock climbing, abseiling and trapeze to name a few. All the children should be proud of themselves in way they handled not being in their comfort zone and persevering in trying to do the best they could. The children should also be commended for how well they represented themselves and Rockmount - on many occasions they were complimented on how well behaved and polite they were. The only disappoint was England losing the football, but even then it was nice to see the children putting a positive spin on it with their friends and other children there. With all the physical activities and the early mornings, the journey home was definitely a lot quieter than the journey going, however we were able to get out on deck on the ferry and grab some great pictures of all the children.

Well done Year 6, it was a pleasure to join you on this trip!
